In the main event of the UFC 280, Charles Oliveira will be fighting against Islam Makhachev. They will be fighting for the UFC Vacant Lightweight Championship. Charles Oliveira won against Justin Gaethje in the title fight of UFC 274, while Islam Makhachev won against Bobby Green in his last fight.
In the co-main event, Aljamain Sterling and T.J. Dillashaw will face each other for the UFC Bantamweight Championship. The current #1 MMA Bantamweight Fighter Aljamain Sterling won against Petr Yan in UFC 273. Dillashaw defeated Cory Sandhagen in his last fight back in 2021. The fight was scheduled to be held on September 2022 but was eventually canceled.
