The eighth pay-per-view event of the year for the UFC is almost upon us as UFC 278 is set to go live on Saturday night at the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, United States.
UFC 278 is the PPV mixed martial arts event for the month of August organized by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Dana White, the president of the UFC, has put on an exciting card worthy of a PPV event starring fighters like Kamaru Usman, Leon Edwards, Luke Rockhold, etc.
The main event of the night is Usman vs. Edwards 2. Reigning UFC Welterweight Champion of the world, Kamaru Usman, is set to take on Leon Edwards for the UFC Welterweight Championship of the world. Two of the best 170 ers will get in the ring once more, since their first fight in 2015.
Along with the title bout, another fight to attract the eyes of the fans is the middleweight bout, Paulo Costa vs. Luke Rockhold, which will serve as the co-main event of the night. Former Featherweight Champion and P4P no.1 in the ranking, Jose Aldo, is also back as he faces Merab Dvalishvili in a Bantamweight bout.
When will UFC 278 be held?
UFC 278 is scheduled to start at 10 p.m. ET on August 20, 2022. However, before the main card, we have got the early prelims and the preliminary card that will begin at 06.00 p.m. ET and 08.00 p.m. ET respectively. The main event is expected to start with the ring walks of Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards at around 12:30 p.m. ET.
