One of the hottest topics in the boxing world right now is that Jake Paul is set to face Tommy Fury on February 26. The fight has created enough hype among the fans, and now, the fighter has agreed to an interesting deal, while, the winner will take all the prize money share.
The incident happened on Thursday, while the fighters were facing off during the press conference. Fury created heat in his speech by saying to Paul that he will be taking paul’s head off. Fury said,
“I’m a fresh young fighter. You had two lucky escapes in this fight. You should have taken escape, you’ve blown your ticket – I’m coming to take your head off.”
Paul responded quickly and offered to pay him double if he wins. He also said that, if Fury loses, Paul will be taking the whole purse. It stands that, whoever among the two wins will take the full purse from the fight. Paul said,
“If you win, I will pay you to double what I am paying you already. But if I win then I take everything that I am paying you”.
Initially, Fury didn’t agree to the deal, but his father stood and made the deal on behalf of his son. Paul thinks that Fury won’t shine further for his father. Paul said,
“He’s worked with other trainers who are way better, but his dad is actually hindering him and making him a worse fighter.”
So, what is it? Is this the overconfidence of the fighter or his father? Will Fury be losing his money for his father? We will need to wait till the 26 to know this.
