RIZIN Fighting Federation, the popular Japanese mixed martial arts organization have scheduled their next official event for this Saturday night. Featuring 10 professional MMA and 2 Kickboxing bouts, RIZIN 42 till take place at the Tokyo Ariake Arena.
The event will feature a bantamweight bout between Kai Asakura and Yuki Motoya for the main event card. Naoki Inoue and Juan Archuleta will face off under the co-main card. Both fights will be respective fights’ first professional fight against their opponent.
Kai Asakura is RIZIN’s bantamweight class mixed martial artist. He currently holds a career record of 19-4. In 2021, Asakura faced his career 3rd loss fighting Hiromasa Ougikobu at RIZIN 33. This broke his 3-win streak.
Yuki Motoya is another professional mixed martial artist from Japan. He holds a career record of 33 wins to 10 losses from 44 fights. Motoya faced Rogerio Bontorin at the RIZIN 40 last year and won via round 2 TKO. He currently has a 5-win streak.
