Injury concerns arise in Alex Wassabi camp putting the KSI vs Alex Wassabi event on the 27th of August in danger.
KSI was set to make his much-awaited return to the ring against fellow YouTuber Alex Wassabi on the 7th of August. However, reports have started to come about a potential injury suffered by Alex Wassabi.
With Wassabi having to pull out of the fight, another YouTuber turned Boxer, Jake Paul has offered himself to replace Wassabi and fight KSI on August 27.
The @KSI x @AlexWassabi fight that was scheduled for 8/27 is off. Wassabi has a concussion and isn’t cleared to fight. @jakepaul, I’m told, has offered to fight his long-time rival KSI at 180 pounds on the same date/same venue.
Developing. (Would be gigantic scenes.)

Jake Paul, who had his own fight against Hasim Rahman Jr canceled just a week ago, took to Twitter and challenged his long-time rival KSI. “It sucks for Alex obviously. He has a concussion, he can’t fight, but now this puts KSI into a corner. If he doesn’t accept the fight with me, we all just know that he’s scared,” said the younger Paul brother.
“I’ll come fight in your hometown. Your boxing company. You are A-Side,” added Jake Paul. “I also agree to make 180 pounds for August 27.”
Heard that Alex is out bc of a concussion. Fucked up. This was a big opportunity for Alex. He will be back.
KSI… everything happens for a reason. I’ll come fight in your hometown. Your boxing company. You are A-Side.
I also agree to make 180 pounds for August 27.
You accept? pic.twitter.com/B5XI167xPm

KSI already has a history with the Paul brothers. The British YouTuber boxed Jake’s older brother Logan Paul twice. They drew the first one while KSI won the 2nd fight. Since then Jake Paul and he have had a bitter rivalry which they both wanted to settle in the boxing ring one day.
While KSI has been inactive since his victory against Logan Paul at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Jake has been the polar opposite. The American social media sensation, Jake Paul has fought five professional boxing fights against the likes of former UFC champion Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren.
Paul has gone an undefeated 5-0 in his professional boxing career. He was originally supposed to fight Tommy Fury in August but Fury pulled out of the fight due to visa issues.
Both KSI and Jake Paul, hailing from the UK and the USA respectively, have a massive fan following on the internet. A KSI vs Jake Paul fight is destined to generate record-breaking pay-per-views. But only time will tell if KSI and his promotion allow Jake Paul to replace Wassabi on short notice.
