The IBA Youth World Boxing Championship is an annual boxing competition for amateur class. Founded in 1979, the event is organized by the International Boxing Organization (IBO).
The 2022 Youth Boxing Championship is set to be held at Spain. It will feature competition on both men’s and women’s discipline. The event is currently under the youth (junior) call of U19. Over 650 boxers from various countries are expected to participate in the upcoming event.
As per official IBA amateur weight division, the event will feature 13 categories for male and 12 categories for female. For male, weight class will begin at minimumweight (46-48) and increase to super heavyweight (92+). Whereas for female, weight class will begin at minimumweight (45-48) and reach heavyweight (81+).

Over 650 amateur boxers are expected to participate in the upcoming international amateur boxing event. So far from 89 national federations, 476 youth men and 208 youth women have registered to compete.
There are 13 different weight divisions in the men’s division. With 52 fighters, the light welterweight division has the largest number of competitors. However, there are 12 weight divisions in the women’s competition. The women’s featherweight division has the most entrants, with 24 fighters competing.
