DAZN, a global platform for sports and entertainment, has become the new home of one of the world’s leading MMA organizations in the world, the PFL.
Since its establishment in 2018 by Donn Davis, the fame of the Professional Fighters League (PFL) increased quickly in the MMA world. Their aim was always to become one the biggest MMA promotions in the world and give competition to the giants of the industry like the UFC or Bellator. They currently pride themselves as the fastest-growing sports league in the world.
Following the announcement of the inaugural season, PFL sold its broadcasting rights to different network providers to air its show live across the globe. PFL to this day gets broadcast in 160 countries. Networks like ESPN, Eurosport, and Globo are some of those with the rights.
According to the official statement from PFL, they have agreed to a deal to establish PFL Europe, the first regional league ever in Europe from a platform as big as DAZN. With this deal, DAZN also acquired the exclusive rights to broadcast all PFL events internationally through their platform.

The CEO of PFL provided a statement to the media regarding the situation. “PFL Europe is the beginning of the Champions League of MMA from PFL,” he said. “We are excited to have DAZN as our strategic media rights distribution partner in Europe for all of our fight franchises – PFL Global League, PFL Challenger Series, PFL Europe, and PFL PPV Super Fight Division.”
As DAZN becomes the new home of PFL, its organization will grow even bigger. The new league in Europe will boost the popularity of the PFL many folds. As things stand, we might finally see another MMA promotion rivaling the UFC
