The popular American MMA promotion, Bellator have scheduled its next major event for this Friday. Bellator 296 will feature a total of 14 professional fights, 4 on the main card and the rest of 10 under the preliminary card. It will take place at the Accor Arena.
For the title bout, the event will feature a fight between Gegard Mousasi and Fabian Edwards. It will be an eliminator fight for the Bellator Middleweight Championship title. Meanwhile, Brent Primus and Mansour Barnaoui will face one another for the co-main event.
Gegard Mousasi is a Dutch professional with a 49-8 record. The former kickboxing professional is also the former middleweight title holder. He earned the title in 2020 and defended it in 2 fights over 3 years. In June 2022, Mousasi lost his title against Johnny Eblen at Bellator 282.
