Jack Catterall has signed a deal with BOXXER as he continues his hunting mission for a super lightweight world title. Boxxer, the UK promotional outfit confirmed Friday morning.
With this multi-fight deal, the 29-year-old eyes a rematch against Josh Taylor. Catterall lost to the 140lb champion Taylor in Glasgow last February.
It was the only defeat of his career and cost him the undisputed super lightweight glory. The defeat was somewhat controversial and therefore he has been looking for a rematch. His contests will be screened live and exclusively on Sky Sports.
Catterall told Sky Sports News on Friday that he’s super excited about the long-awaited vital rematch and believes that this new deal would bring him a world championship title with the support of BOXXER and Sky Sports in the future.
Reportedly, the rematch is likely to be scheduled on November 26 at The OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. Catterall eyes clarify all controversies surrounding the previous fight and prove himself as the undisputed world champion.
